These guides explain how HopeMatch Discover works today. Provider pages need you to be signed in (links will ask you to sign in), and what you can do depends on your role. In immediate danger? Call 911, or call or text 988 for a mental health crisis. See how HopeMatch handles your information.

Provider getting-started guide

A suggested order. It doesn't track or show your own progress.

  1. Step 1. Sign in and choose your organization

Sign in, then pick the organization you act for with the organization picker in the header. Your role is set per organization.

  2. Step 2. Find your listing and request to manage it

Open Find help, search for your organization, open its listing and choose “Request to manage this listing.” A request is not approval — a reviewer checks it first.

    Find help

  3. Step 3. Track your requests

Listing requests shows each request from your organization and its current status.

    Listing requests

  4. Step 4. Review your listings, services and locations

Your public listings shows listings your organization manages. Open one to reach Services & locations.

  5. Step 5. Understand drafts and proposals

New services start as private drafts and need reviewer publication. Edits to published records appear publicly only after a reviewer approves them.

  6. Step 6. Check who has access

Team access is a read-only view. Invitations and role changes happen in Organization settings, on the Team tab.

  7. Step 7. Review participation readiness

Participation readiness shows what is and isn't in place. Owners and admins can pause inquiries for a service; turning them on stays with reviewers.

  8. Step 8. Propose a receiving contact

Receiving contact requests lets owners and admins propose a private contact for a service. A reviewer must confirm it before it counts.

  9. Step 9. Set notification preferences

Notification preferences records whether you'd like a future new-inquiry alert. It sends nothing today and does not turn on inquiries.

Searching the directory

Finding help

Find help lists published services. Search by need or keyword and narrow by category or area.

Listings show reviewed public service information, which is not necessarily provided by the organization itself. Always confirm details with the provider.

Using Guided Help

Finding help

Guided Help asks a few questions and suggests services that may fit. Your answers stay on the page and are not saved to an account.

Suggestions are not referrals and don't guarantee eligibility.

Saving, remembering, sharing and printing

Finding help

Save adds a service to your saved list, up to 20 services. The list is lost when you refresh or close the page unless you tick “Remember my saved list on this browser.”

Remembering stores only service IDs on this device — there is no account sync, and others using this browser can see the list. Switching Remember off keeps your current-session list; if removal fails, follow the warning and retry removing it. Clear all empties the list.

Share creates a link you can preview and copy; anyone with the link sees the chosen public services — no private answers — and nothing is saved automatically for the recipient. Print shows a preview first, then prints only when you choose.

Listings are re-checked each time, so services that are no longer public are shown as unavailable.

Preparing an inquiry draft

Finding help

Some services let you prepare a short message on the page. You review it and use “Copy my draft” to paste it into your own email or notes.

This is a draft only — nothing is submitted or sent to the provider, and it is not kept after you leave the page.

Preparing for a service

Finding help

When a service lists documents, “Prepare for this service” lets you tick the items you have ready and review what you have marked or not yet marked alongside listed application steps.

Marks stay only on that page — they are not saved or sent, and they clear when you close the checklist, refresh or leave. This is different from an inquiry draft, and it is not an application or an eligibility check.

Request help

Finding help

Request help (Universal Intake) automatically keeps its draft in this browser, so take care on a shared device. You review your answers before choosing to submit — nothing is sent until then.

This is different from a service inquiry draft, which is kept only while the page is open and never stored.

Reporting a listing error

Finding help

Use Report a problem to flag wrong or outdated details, closures, or to suggest an organization or service.

Reports are reviewed before anything changes, and you won't always receive a reply.

Claiming, publication, verification and participation

Providers

Claiming: an approved request lets your organization manage a listing. It doesn't publish anything by itself.

Publication: reviewers decide when listings, services and changes become public.

Verification is separate: on a public profile, Verified means HopeMatch checked the details, and Claimed means the organization manages the listing. Neither guarantees acceptance or eligibility.

Receiving-contact confirmation is also separate: a private receiving contact must be confirmed by a reviewer before it counts.

Participation: whether a service can receive inquiries is controlled by reviewers. Electronic inquiries are not available yet.

Roles and what they can do

Providers

Owners and admins can use provider tools such as participation, receiving contacts and notification preferences. Members and viewers may see less or nothing on those pages.

Platform administrators don't automatically see private provider or participant details.

Editing services and locations

Providers

From Services & locations you can add services and locations or propose edits. New services start as private drafts and new locations as confidential.

Edits become proposals that a reviewer approves or declines; the public listing changes only after approval.

What to review next on a profile

Providers

When you manage a profile, “What to review next” checks the current saved profile: the provider name, whether a summary of at least 20 characters is saved (needed for publication; drafts may be incomplete), and whether any optional public website, phone or email is saved.

Edit shortcuts move to the field without saving or discarding draft entries.

Unsaved entries and change requests awaiting review don't count until a reviewer approves them. The panel is a basic field check, not a quality review, verification or approval, and it doesn't check services or locations.

Your public listings

Archiving and restoring

Providers

You can ask to archive a service or location you manage, or to restore one. A reviewer approves each request.

Archiving hides an item; it doesn't delete it. Restoring returns it as private/draft — it needs fresh review and is not immediately republished.

Access and team changes

Providers

Team access shows your organization's members read-only. To invite people or change roles, owners and admins use the Team tab in Organization settings.

Organization settings manages your workspace organization and team; Your public listings manages your directory listing.

Troubleshooting

Providers

Page says you don't have access? Check you've chosen the right organization and that your role allows the page.

Can't find your listing? It may not be published yet — you can suggest it with Report a problem.

A save said it couldn't confirm? Use the page's check option before trying again so nothing is duplicated.

For access changes, ask your organization's owner or admin.
